From 2008 until recently I was working on a piece called Horpma. It is meant to be a recording first an foremost. It involves 27 plucked string instruments in a just intonation tuning. A lot of great people have assisted me in this and it has taken some time, but now it is finally ready and I am thoroughly excited. It will be released by Carrier Records in New York, which is very exciting as well.
They did a “rerun” of an almost one hour radio program on my music. Interviews are in Icelandic but three pieces are played: Lardipésa, Hakkalamaka and Draumbót. One can find more info here.
In a competition because of the 80th anniversary of the National Radio of Iceland. I am not feeling particularly modest about it.
